Hello! My name is Kimberly Carman.
Here is my story...
Many years ago, I had the great privilege of apprenticing under a local Portland, Oregon goldsmith who taught me the basics of jewelry design and fabrication, wax carving, and casting. The metal bug had bitten hard, and I immediately went out and bought my first jeweler's bench and began to build my tool collection.
Inspired and intrigued by the power of the torch, and delighted by the surprise and color patina brings to metal, I began to make my own jewelry and implement those processes into my designs.
Wax carving, taking custom orders and repairing jewelry have been added to my repertoire, and I find great joy in being able to meet the needs of my customers and bring a smile to their faces when they receive their custom creation or their broken jewelry repaired.
When creativity flows,
magical things happen!
I am actively working at both my wax and metal benches creating artful adornments using mixed metals of sterling silver, gold, copper and brass, and utilizing gemstones in my pieces to create accessories that are either organic in origin, geometric in form, or Bohemian in design.
